Welcome to our new blog! We are so happy to have you with us. The TAMI DAVIS Team is hoping
to use this platform to not just sell you your dream home (although we hope to do that too) but to also
provide you with relevant information about our community and the important role real estate plays in
our lives.

When people discover that we are from Cabot, Arkansas one of the first things mentioned are the famous strawberries from the Holland Bottom Farm. Last week our team decided to go out and do some market research on what makes this Cabot farm such a novelty for the central Arkansas area.

Upon arriving at the farm stand we were intrigued to learn Mr. Tim Odom himself would not
only be giving us an exclusive interview but also a tour of his farm! Mr. Odom however seemed a
little taken aback when his interviewers removed their shoes and walked barefoot through the muddy
strawberry fields. You can take the girls out of the country but can’t always take the country out of the
girls! I mean come on “when in Rome” right?!

Holland Bottom LLC planted its first crop of strawberries during a snowstorm in 1982 but they were not
available for purchase until 1983. Mr. Odom explained that when the family first began on this
adventure they were in a very rural area. To access the farm you had to take the only exit in Cabot,
exit 19 and backtrack south. In 1995 the Odom family donated the right of way through their farm for
highway 321. This highway not only changed the physical and economic landscape of their farm but
also made the south side of Cabot more accessible to all citizens and no doubt contributed to the
population explosion of our beautiful town. In 1980 Cabot had a population of only 4,806. As of 2010
our population had increased to 24,025 and has continued to grow. Keep in mind these numbers do not
include the burgeoning populations of our smaller neighboring towns, Austin, and Ward.

Pencils show where AR Highway 321 cut through the Holland Bottom Farm.

Another major change for the farm was the opening of the “Cabot Sportsplex” in the Spring of 2016.
This venue was opened by Cabot Parks and Rec and includes baseball fields, soccer fields, and the
aquatic park. Teams come from all over the state to visit the park which in turn brings more people to
Holland Bottoms next door as well. Mr. Odom joked that they should just build a bridge across the
creek so that guests would have easier access to the farm.

Although the farm is famous for their sweet strawberries they also offer an array of other produce
including tomatoes, squash, onions, zucchini, blackberries, peaches, potatoes, and more. For more
